How It's Done

Metacognition is the awareness and understanding of how we learn and process thoughts. All of us, and particularly Dyslexic and students with learning differences must learn and process how they learn. This cannot effectively be covered in classrooms because it requires a highly personal and 1:1 approach because every learner is unique.

Do you feel exhausted reading this list for the gazillionth time?

It’s okay to feel exhausted by all of this because it’s exhausting. You receive random feedback, and the puzzle pieces of reading seem to be scattered without any sense or reason. The mountain seems high.

Let me help your child put these pieces together. Allow me to tailor my instructions to meet them exactly where they are, ensuring personalized support and accelerated progress.

I begin by monitoring and adjusting. Closely and carefully. This ongoing monitoring and adjustment process ensures that your child receives timely and targeted support. They will not fall through the cracks with me. This leads to continuous improvement. This is nearly impossible to do with a classroom full of children at different levels.

Through Metacognitive Training, interwoven in every lesson your child will have with me. Let me help your child transition from, "I can't" to "How can I?"
